Love hearing our neighbor's myna bird's mating call several doors away. It mingles with the chirping of the pet birds in our aviary, and makes me feel that I am inside a tropical forest.

My second choice to a captain's cabin bedroom was doing up my room beach-resort style--with lots of bamboo and tie-dyed fabric--but the latter look is too ephemeral and really harder to maintain.
