Electrical work done. I moved our microwave to the dining area. Others will be horrified by this idea, but, the fact is, I've observed we need it there more than we need it in the kitchen. We use it mainly for heating and almost never for cooking.

The key is to make the microwave an integral part of the dining area. I located ours in the center of a console table.
