Aubrey Decorates Her Room For Her Little Christmas Party, 2015

Aubrey's Snow Queen motif. She cut out snowflakes from paper and placed them on her sliding doors. Yet another reason why glass sliding doors are very flexible.

More snowflakes above her headboard.

Aubrey is my only grandchild so far who loves scented candles and paraffin oil lamps. She lights them on every special occasion. I always caution her never to leave them unattended.

The sliding doors from within. The key in decorating with light is to remember that light illumines and paints with colors. It is NOT projected. It is SHADOWS that are projected. Hence, when one turns on a spotlight, it merely disperses light. When a cutout of branches and leaves are placed in front of the source of light, it is the cutout that is projected, not the light.
