Watching preparations for the Lunar New Year on China's CCTV. Lots of colorful lanterns and decor and food, food, food! Everyone was walking around in heavy jackets, which gave me an indication  of how cold it is there.

I feel like jumping into a cab and going to Ongpin to shop for stuff, but I dread the crowds I will encounter there. Will probably go a few days after the festivities. Retirement has spoiled me; I will have only things that I can have my way.
