Many people remember Rolando S. Tinio for many things, but there are two material things he had that are quite unforgettable to me: the first was his frayed, velvet script binder that he brought to all rehearsals, and the second was an exquisite, ballpoint-pen drawing he made of an antique chair, which was the first ballpoint-pen drawing I had ever seen.
