Soon rereading, in one stretch, the Harry Potter series. My personal challenge is to reread all of that without my imagination being tainted by images from the movies. I usually succeed in doing that by imagining the characters as people whom I actually know and deliberately changing the settings in my mind.

Producers think they do you a service by adapting original works into movies. It is, of course, all about money. But no producer, director, and production designer has the right to violate your imagination and your innate creativity.
