Watching The Pale Horse later. I remember it as a good read. It was a Tommy and Tuppence mystery, as my sister Sylvia reminded me, but this DVD has Miss Marple worked in instead.

Tommy and Tuppence, of course, will never figure in any DVD. Their characters as written are too sketchy, and having not one but two cardboard cut-out protagonists would result only in acting over-creativity--to the extent that we would no longer recognize them on the screen.
