Watched TinTin and the Broken Ear (Parts 1 and 2), the most engrossing so far in this DVD package. It is quite faithful to the original, and has all the elements of an exciting viewing: an Arumbaya fetish with a broken ear, a missing gemstone with magical, healing powers, a chase overseas, and subversion. General Alcazar and Professor Ridgewell are here, and the villain Lopez, who merely disappears overboard in the comic book, plays a larger role in a flashback.
This production was classified "General". In this production, the two antagonists are arrested by the police. The comic book version is more violent--the two antagonists drown and are dragged away by devils.
