Watched The Blue Geranium, based on a short story by Agatha Christie. Well-written and a good viewing, plus a series of really beautiful landscapes, interiors, and props. This is, however, one of those mysteries structured after archetypal patterns (in this case each character corresponds to one of the Seven Deadly Sins; there is even a framed illustration of the Seven Deadly Sins on the pastor's study wall), like Theatre of Blood and The Name of the Rose. Too contrived for my taste, especially since things do not fall neatly into place in real life.

Watching this Miss Marple episode I found that, despite my passion for British tea sets, French country style decor will never work in a funky urban setting like Manila, because such decor, in the first place, will look good only if the architecture goes along with it. As it is, French windows a.k.a French doors are fast going out of vogue.
